All Whys Don't Need Answering

Like a motor coach, you came
and left without a why to blame.

Before you, I knew nothing
nothing at all.

Left alone with my own whys to answer
my heart broke low and slow behind the mirror.

Before you, I knew nothing
nothing at all.

I laugh about it now, cause since your return
your whys and mine, together they burn.

(Ha! I still don't know nothing, nothing at all.)
